If you’re reading this, you already know I’ve started a blog! Let me share a bit about my journey.
I’ve always dreamed of being a writer. Many years ago, when I worked as a family childcare provider, I took a course to become a trainer. That course taught me how to create workshops on various childcare topics. Despite being an introvert, I discovered a passion for writing and teaching. I loved researching, writing, and discussing important issues with other childcare providers, and I was able to do that for several years.
However, due to a military move, I stepped back from writing and teaching to focus on homeschooling and homemaking. Yet, the desire to write never left me. Over the years, I’ve started numerous blogs—some free, some paid—but I often felt too intimidated to share my thoughts online.
Here I am again, launching another blog. I’ve invested more money than I initially intended in finding a web host and securing legal pages to protect myself from potential issues. I’m not very tech-savvy, so I followed a YouTube tutorial to set everything up. It looked easy and professional, but I still feel lost navigating this new site.
I wanted a clean, simple platform to write, share my experiences, and maybe, if I’m ambitious enough, sell something down the line. Right now, I’m still figuring out how to make my first post, and I’m honestly terrified. I’d love to monetize my blog, but I don’t want to clutter it with ads, and I’m clueless about setting up affiliate links.
I also dream of starting a podcast and creating a book club. At this moment, though, I sometimes feel like I’ve made a huge mistake.
If you’ve read this far, thank you! I’d appreciate any advice or thoughts you might have. I’m eager to connect with anyone interested in discussing homemaking, whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out. Let’s share this journey together!
